摘要
In order to obtain the optimal combination of different fabric layers in firefighter protective clothing, a two-stage method was suggested. The first stage was to measure the basic properties of each fabric to choose the qualified fabric based on the relevant standards. And the second stage was to test heat and moisture transfer properties and TPP (Total Protective Performance) rating of multi-layered fabric assemblies, which were combined according to orthogonal layout. The suggested method was applied to analyze fabric combinations used in domestic firefighter protective clothing, and the research rusults showed their performance satified the requirements of the related test standards. The positive correlation between TPP rating and thickness of multi-layered fabric combinations was indicated.
