Gravitational Cell Gap Irregularity of Large Size Liquid Crystal Displays

摘要
The dependence of gravitational cell gap irregularity of large size liquid crystal display (LCD) was studied. The irregularity of cell gap between two substrates due to increased volume of liquid crystals at high temperature was not restored even after the temperature of panel was turned to normal state, which means the irregularity of transmittance of panel at high temperature due to gravitational force is accelerated not only by increased cell gap but also by variation of optical properties of liquid crystals.
