This is the introductory article of the track on Learning Analytics within the 2021 International Conference Technological Ecosystems for Enhancing Multiculturality (TEEM'21). In this article, we lay out the motivation of the main theme of this edition's track, the main topics of interest and the review process followed for submission of contributions. We also present an outline of the accepted contributions and conclude with our own reflections on current issues in research on learning analytics, based on both our opinions and experience as track chairs in previous editions.
