MATHEMATICS ANXIETY AND ITS INFLUENCE ON THE CHOICE OF THE UNIVERSITY DEGREE

摘要
In this paper we reflect on the influences of mathematics anxiety in the choice of university degree. We construct a model that reflects the relationship between this construct and various factors such as gender, self-confidence, utility or achievement. The results show, among other things, that those students with higher anxiety tend to underperform in mathematics which determines the choice of university degree.
