摘要
Computational time in indoor ray tracing would rise sharply if more reflections were considered. Upper limit value of reflection number in indoor ray tracing (RT) plays a vital role in the efficiency of ray tracing. However, the convergence of reflection number in indoor ray tracing has not been clearly discussed yet. Therefore, this paper presents a convergence analysis of ray tracing based on statistically studying digital data of indoor scenario. Study aims to obtain the appropriate upper limit value of reflection number to improve the efficiency of RT without losing accuracy. Convergence study focuses on analyzing the distribution of indoor scene, deriving the probabilities and power of different reflection path, and finally finding out the convergence result of power of receiver and upper limit value of reflection number. In addition, the comparison with ray tracing simulation result proves that this study is feasible improving efficiency of ray tracing.
