摘要
There is no doubt that Eriobotrya originated in China. Nevertheless, there are more than 20 species under this genus and their geographical distributions and description have not been updated since 2005. In recent years, our research group has conducted many geographic investigations and field surveys in order to improve the previous taxonomic and species distribution records. These investigations covered many provinces in southern China and some countries of southeastern Asia (Vietnam, Laos, Burma). We discovered new locations for E. deflexa f. buisanensis Nakai, E. stipularis Craib; E. elliptica f. petiolata Hook., and Eriobotrya tengyuehensis W.W. Smith.
