摘要
The design and development of greenhouse dryer operating under passive mode is being reported in the present experimentation. The aim of the present study is to develop and fit a new proposed model for drying of tomato flakes and potato chips under greenhouse dryer operating under passive mode. The proposed model was compared with 6 different mathematical models and it was found that the proposed model highest coefficient of determination for both tomato flakes and potato chips followed by logarithmic model. Statistical evaluation of the predicted and experimental moisture ratio shows that the proposed model gives lowest root mean square error and chi square. The present result shows that the curve fitting ability of proposed model for both tomato flakes and potato chips is best compare to other model. However there is no other theoretical basis offered for the best curve fitting ability of the equation. (c) 2021 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
