Optimal Selection of Third Party Logistics Service Providers Based on Ideal Solution Model

The optimal selection of third party logistics(3PL) service providers plays an important role in supply chain management of enterprises. According to the characters of 3PL service providers under the environment of supply chain, the index system of its selection is established. The index weights are determined by combining analytic hierarchy process (AHP) method and information entropy method, which can overcome the disadvantages of other methods in deciding the weights. The model of 3PL service providers selection is proposed based on ideal solution model and applied to selecting the 3PL service providers by a large automobile manufacturing enterprise. The case shows that the model can help enterprises to choose the 3PL service providers successful and efficiently.
