The Allied Health core curriculum

A core curriculum for allied health can serve as a catalyst for health care reform and address many of the issues identified by the Pew Health Professions Commission, the National Commission on Allied Health, and the National Health Care Skill Standards Project. A review of the recommendations calling for health care reform and outlining the desired knowledge, skills, and values for health care workers offers a basis upon which to design a core curriculum and to understand the core curriculum concept.
