摘要
Following a description of seat belt components, this paper presents a review, analysis, and discussion of the effectiveness and limitations of seat belt systems. Causes of malfunction are identified. The paper also discusses expected findings in post-accident inspections of seat belt systems. Finally, a brief discussion of current and future design improvements is given.
