The most recent trends in organisation and management

The paper highlights contemporary trends in the development of organization and management, which developed concurrently. Organisation equals the anatomy of a company, and management its infrastructure. The focus here is on modern organisation of companies, such which uses no new principles of organisation that have not been known before. Modern organisation of companies differs from the classic type only in where it puts emphases, on which side of the opposite extremes that are characteristic of all organisational principles. Contemporary organisation of companies in characterised by decentralisation, flexibility and innovation. Modern organisation must be accompanied by a corresponding management, which puts an increasing stress on the importance of people in organisation, their knowledge and skills and leadership styles. A modern manager must know how to motivate hist colleagues and give them freedom to act. The paper concludes with an attempt at surveying the predominant attitude in Croatia toward organisation and management.
