摘要
Two erbium-doped fiber ring laser configurations are proposed and experimentally demonstrated. Both configurations employ array-waveguide-grating (AWG)-based cavities to select the operation wavelengths. The first experiment can achieve discrete wavelength tuning in a range of 31.8 nm with 2.0-dBm output power for each channel. The second experiment yields four wavelength lasing with -10-dBm output power for all signals after power equalization. The linewidth of either AWG laser is as small as 0.015 nm and the side-mode suppression ratio is over 55 dB. (C) 2003 Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers.
