摘要
Using the wrist-worn actigraph allows the assessment of physical activity and sleep of an individual continuously for a 24-hr period. The data indicate that increased physical activity may improve the quality of nocturnal sleep in elderly subjects. Also the data suggest that tolerance to night shift becomes weaker with increasing age. Using the Horne-Ostberg Morningness-Eveningness Questionnaire (MEQ), we showed that the sleep phase was shifted to an earlier time and the night sleep phase was disturbed in the elderly. Sleep disturbance was more frequent in elderly women than men.
