摘要
Optical Time Division Multiplexing (OTDM) is one of the important techniques by which data transmission capacity (aggregate bit rates) can be increased enormously. In this work, we demonstrate a 80 Gb/s time division multiplexing and demultiplexing experiment. By gain switching a DFB laser with 10GHz RF signal we produced similar to 7ps FWHM pulses. By using TDM technique we obtained 80 GHz signal. The demultiplexing of this TDM signal is carried out using two cascaded LiNbO3 Mach-Zehnder modulators.
