摘要
Introduction: The article proposes a method of plastination in pig's heart based on the use of polyurethane as the final material for forced impregnation, this research continues the tradition of finding and forming a different plastination method than that proposed and standardized by Gunther von Hagens. Objectives: With this work we aim to perform a plastination test with polyurethane in pig's heart as well as test polyurethane as a material for the plastination of pig hearts and identify the technique of plastination with polyurethane. Methods: New plastination materials were searched in databases with bases in the updates and searches that the GESS group has performed throughout its creation. finding that polyurethane by its chemical characteristics could become one of the materials to make a plastination viable. Results: The plastination was achieved with the technique proposed of a pig's heart, which acquired flexibility and duration characteristics over 1 year of post-plastination study Conclusions: Plastination with plastic polyurethane was a viable method for heart plastination, although it is recommended that it should be followed in the search for new materials.
