The human future. Space exploration, cooperation, and challenges ahead

The year 2022 marks the 60th anniversary of the United Nations Declaration of Legal Principles Governing the Activities of States in the Exploration and Use of Outer Space. This could be a good opportunity to reflect upon the challenges that the developments of science and technology have presented to the theological thinking in the last decades. First, I would like to consider the historical context of the UN Declaration, then I will move to our present considering the challenges we face, to conclude with some implications for the theological thinking in a Catholic perspective. © 2022 Wiley Periodicals LLC.
