摘要
Converter transformer is an important equipment of high-voltage DC power grid. Mineral insulating oil is traditionally used as liquid insulation of transformer, and the insulating oil bears a certain DC component in the converter transformer. Ester liquids is environment-friendly insulating liquids, which mainly includes natural ester, synthetic ester and mono ester. Its application to converter transformer can improve the environmental protection properties of transformer. In this paper, the DC breakdown voltage which include positive and negative polarity of three ester liquids and mineral insulating oil in needle plate electrode under small and medium gap(1-25 mm) is analyzed. The results show that under the positive DC voltage, the breakdown voltage of ester liquids and mineral oil shows a complex law, while under the negative DC voltage, the breakdown voltage of mineral oil is significantly higher than that of ester liquids, and all ester liquids is close.
