摘要：
A phenomenological theory of the nonresonant optical rectification via the electric-quadrupole and magnetic-dipole mechanism for magnetically ordered as well as nonmagnetic crystals is presented. The point group symmetries of crystals admitting the effect are determined and assembled in three tables. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
