摘要
Recycling and reuse of waste tires are of great significance from the perspective of environmental protection. In this paper, the feasibility of simultaneous injection of fully ground waste tires with pulverized coal was explored. The properties of six types of raw coal as well as three types of pulverized coal blends were determined. Meanwhile, the proximate analysis of the bicycle inner tube and tire was carried out. Afterwards, 30 kinds of injectants were derived by blending the bicycle inner tube and tire particles of various sizes with six types of raw coal. Then the calorific value and the combustion rate of obtained samples were experimentally measured. It was found that the mixture of waste tire and raw coal possessed a comparable calorific value with raw coal as well as pulverized coal blends while the combustion rate was considerably improved due to the addition of the bicycle inner tube and tire. Therefore, the waste tire after mechanically grinding could act as a supplement fuel to be injected into the blast furnace with pulverized coal. In addition, the research results indicated that the addition of 10% bicycle inner tube and tire resulted into a higher combustion rate than 5% addition. Hence, it was reasonable to claim that 10% addition was an optimal value.
