摘要
We carried out mosquito surveillance to understand their behavior and to evaluate the effectiveness of permethrin-incorporated wide-mesh Olyset net to reduce the indoor mosquitoes in an endemic area in Thailand. Dark type form of Aedes aegypti was predominant indoor mosquito species, came flying every day to hide inside houses. after setting Olyset net mainly around indoor mosquito hiding places, the number of indoor mosquitoes was significantly reduced and their biting activity became almost unrecognized. These data may be encouraging to reduce dengue vector by combination of Olyset net and larvicides in the endemic areas.
