Synthesis and characterisation of some [Co2+ (amine)3] TeO3:nH2O complexes

摘要
Some structural findings on the complexes of the type [Co2+(amine)(3)] TeO3. nH(2)O [where en = 1,2-diamino ethane, pn = 1,3-diamino propane, n = 3 or 4] have been reported. Their structural features have been investigated on the basis of elemental analysis, molar conductance, electronic, infrared spectral data, TGA and X-ray diffraction studies. Various ligand field parameters like Dq, B, beta etc. have been evaluated, which suggest an octahedral geometry to the complex. Thermal data suggest the presence of water molecules in the crystal lattice, for which lattice constants have been reported.
