In this paper, we give a negative answer to an open question about (is an element of, is an element of vq)-fuzzy interior ideals, proposed in Jun and Song [Y.B. Jun, S.Z. Song, Generalized fuzzy interior ideals in semigroups, Inform. Sci. 176 (2006) 3079-3093]. (C) 2007 Published by Elsevier Inc.
