摘要
Small molecule electron-transport materials have been used to improve luminous efficiency in polymer light-emitting diodes (PLEDs). 1,3-bis[5-(p-t-butylphenyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl]benzene (OXD-7) and tris(8-hydroxyquinolinato)aluminium (Alq(3)) have been employed as an electron-transport layer, which was deposited onto a spin-coated film of poly(2,3-dibutoxy-1,4-phenylene vinylene) (DB-PPV) in an electroluminescent device. Luminous efficiency has been remarkably improved by incorporating an electron-transport layer, which can be explained with the energy-band scheme of the organic materials.
