Visible light active titanate perovskites: An overview on its synthesis, characterization and photocatalytic applications

摘要
Titanate perovskites are a class of compound with general formula ATiO3. The visible light active titanate pe-rovskites have attracted intensive attention as one of the front-line photoactive materials; widely known for its tunable optical properties and high photo-corrosion stability. This review mainly contains the synthesis approach, physio-chemical characterizations and photocatalytic applications of titanate materials like FeTiO3, CoTiO3, CdTiO3, PbTiO3 and NiTiO3. In addition, various strategic architecture has been discussed including heterojunction charge dynamics, Schottky junction, doping and vacancy defects towards various photocatalytic applications. Moreover, this review provides an overview on the brief discussion of diverse visible light active modified titanate perovskites hybrids and their respective morphologies as reported till date. The purpose of this review is to describe recent results and developments in visible light active titanate perovskites, as well as to deliver some beneficial suggestions for future research over highly effectual perovskite-based photocatalysts and related applications.
