ABLATION BEHAVIOR OF C/C-ZrB2-SiC CARBON-CERAMIC COMPOSITES

摘要
The 3D C/C-ZrB2-SiC composites were prepared through Chemical Vapor Infiltration (CVI) and Precursor Infiltration and Pyrolysis (PIP) process. The microstructures and ablation behaviors of the prepared composites were studied. The composition and microstructure of the ablated samples were characterized by arc tunnel test, XRD and SEM, respectively. The results showed that the linear ablation rate of the composites was slightly decreased at first, and then increased with the increasing of ZrB2 content. After ablation at Ma6 for 600s via arc tunnel test, the linear recession rate was as low as 1.0x10(-4) mm/s. The ablation mechanism of the C/C-ZrB2-SiC composites was found that the ablation of C/C-ZrB2-SiC composites contains oxidation, sublimation and erosion. The results of the ablation were decided by heat, strength and chemical effects together.
