摘要
Higher data rate, increased capacity, higher mobility, lower latency and better quality are the mobile communication prime objectives need to improve in the near future. This paper proposes the suggested different modulation techniques for future fifth generation mobile networks (5G) which are universal filtered multicarrier (UFMC), filter bank multicarrier (FBMC), and generalized frequency division multiplexing (GFDM). 5G techniques have been introduced as novel multi-carrier systems to overcome limitations of fourth generation (4G) wireless network. This paper compares the performance analysis of the multi-carrier modulation techniques which are used in 4G with the proposed for modulation techniques for 5G network. Also, it examines three performance evaluation parameters, peak to average power ratio (PAPR) at the same value of signal to noise ratio (SNR) of 10 dB, bit error rate (BER) vs different values of SNR and out-of-band emissions (OOB) for 5G techniques compared with orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) and single carrier frequency division multiplexing (SC-FDM) techniques that used in 4G. According to the mention parameters. Simulation results shows that FBMC system can perform much better in term of OOB compared to conventional OFDM that side lobe suppression attenuation more than -150 dB. Results shows that GFDM has lower PAPR by 2 dB compared to conventional OFDM. According to simulation results, UFMC improves BER performance compared to conventional OFDM and other schemes mentioned. Thus, UFMC with PAPR reduction is considered in next generation of wireless communication system as suggested scheme.
