摘要
Nowadays fiber-reinforced composites have gained popularity as more applications have arisen in the last years. Nonetheless, the lack of proper design methodologies and regulations has slowed down its adoption as an innovative material with an enhanced capacity of energy absorption. The present paper proposed a closed-form model for moment-curvature fully compatible with international standards as Model Code 2010 and RILEM. Due to the easy implementation and computational efficiency of closed-forms, the proposed model pretends to enhance the design methodology for flexural verification. Validation of the model has been made through comparison with other models found in literature and in contrast with computational ideal results simulated by commercial software. The analysis conducted shows that the best accordance with the ideal reference results is obtained by using the proposed model, reaching average errors below 1.5% at service and ultimate limit states.
