On the Construction of the Safeguard Mechanism for the Public Participation in the Food Safety Supervision in China

It is the inevitable choice of the development of the China's food safety management theory and practice for the public participation in China's food safety supervision. Though currently China has established the status and requirements of public participation in the food safety supervision by law, and the atmosphere for the public participation in food safety supervision is also gradually formed, the public participation still is faced with many problems such as the low degree of the organization, lack of interactivity in participation, and imperfect regulations, etc. Therefore, only the construction of the effective safeguard mechanism in improving the public participation consciousness and ability, strengthening the collaborative interaction between government and public, perfecting the system of rights protection and relief for the public etc., can the development of public participation in China's food safety regulatory practice be promoted.
