Factors affecting mortality in Mithun calves

The Mithun (Bos frontalis) is confined to the North Eastern Hill region of India. country and also found in Myanmar, Bhutan, Bangladesh, China and Malaysia. Calves are considered to be the asset for a profitable livestock farm and thereby raising of healthy stock of calves in a livestock farm is of paramount importance. Mortality due to various causes is one of the greatest impediments in the maintenance of a profitable livestock farm. There is no report available on mortality in mithun calves and hence the study.
