摘要
Introduction. -Vitamin D's influence on muscular function has been demonstrated in elderly people. This prospective study aims at determining a possible relationship between vitamin D serum level and sport performances. Results. -Nine athletes and 11 sedentary subjects, from 25 to 58 years old, with vitamin D serum dosage carried out a running Vameval track test. Eight cases of vitamin D insufficiency were found (only subjects younger than 45 years old). No relationship between the level of vitamin D and MAV were found. Conclusion. -No correlation was found between vitamin D serum level and MAV. This possible relationship should be studied on a wider population, with a vitamin D supplementation, or focus on a parameter of anaerobic metabolism. (C) 2010 Elsevier Masson SAS.
