摘要
A method of tuning velocity-type PID controller in distributed control system for long range dead time processes is developed. It involves the first-order plus dead time apploximation of process dynamics using the concept of moment of process step response and the tuning method of velocity-type PID controller using modified Suyama's method of sampled I-PD control system design. The method proposed in this study has the advantage of tuning velocity-type PLD controller in industrial use. It was applied to PID tuning of the temperature controller in a debutanizer distillution column to confirm the design philosophy. The actual result indicates that the proposed method is effective in tuning velocity-type PID controller for long range dead time processes.
