摘要
A health monitoring system that attached sensor on the human body is part of a wireless body area network (WBAN) which governed by IEEE 802.15.6 standard. Nowadays, most people lack time to perform regular monitoring of their health, including checking the heartbeats. To answer this challenge, an alternative monitoring system capable of observing heartbeats condition in realtime will be useful, particularly if the system could be monitored remotely and accessed by multiple persons. This research proposed a heartbeats detection system (HEBEDES) using a pulse sensor in a wireless body area network (WBAN) on hybrid monitoring system for a real-time. The hybrid monitoring system design used three ways access: using smartphones via Bluetooth, short message service (SMS), and the internet, all could be accessed anytime and anywhere simultaneously. Six subjects with various physical activities were tested. The accuracy of HEBEDES employed in this research was confirmed by both stethoscope and oxy meters measurements, with an error rate <2% and value difference of 0.02%.
