Images of the weapon on gravestones of XV-XVI centuries. Azerbaijan as a source of military history

In article the analysis of images of the weapon on gravestones of XV-XVI centuries from the territory of the Azerbaijan Republic is given. Stone gravestones of Azerbaijan kept samples of subject and thematic compositions, ornamental art and are considered as an important source on stories of the political, public, social and economic relations, cultural achievements. But as a source concerning military history of Azerbaijan they still weren't considered. The author studied historical materials from a collection of historical and architectural reserves and the museums of the republic. Reliability and care of a portrayal, attention of the master stone-cutter to the represented weapon details, analogs from museum collections and book miniatures allow to consider tombstones-as an important illustrative source on studying of questions of military history.
