Optical properties of amorphous and polycrystalline films of chromium disilicide

摘要
Optical properties of amorphous and polycrystalline CrSi2 alloy films were investigated within the 0.5-5.0 eV energy range by means of spectroscopic ellipsometry technique. The main absorption peaks for polycrystalline CrSi2 films were interpreted on the basis of results of theoretical first-principles calculations. It was shown that optical properties of amorphous phase of CrSi2 are drastically different from such ones for crystalline phase; low-energy absorption bonds disappear, and high-energy absorption band is smeared and decreased in its intensity.
