摘要
Bacterial resistance to antimicrobials is an important issue in public health insofar as it threatens the efficacy of therapeutic treatment of infectious diseases of bacterial etiology. Increase in bacterial resistance is associated to abusive and inadequate use of antimicrobials. In the whole world, there are often new accounts of resistance of important pathogens to various antimicrobials, even the most modem ones. Keeping in mind the importance of pharmaceutical assistance to health care, we have revised the literature available in order to point out problems that lead to an increase in bacterial resistance to antimicrobials, as well as to present proposals for improvement and discuss their practical application.
