Extension of the Vianden Pumped Storage Power Plant in Luxembourg with Unit 11

摘要：
To satisfy the increasing demand for regulating power, the Societe Electrique de l'Our (SEO), owner of the existing Vianden Pumped Storage Plant, intends to install an additional pump-turbine of 200 MW. The new unit will be accommodated in a separate powerhouse cavern and include waterways of its own. In parallel the active storage capacity of the upper and lower reservoirs will be augmented by 0.5 million m(3). Civil work started in January 2010, by driving the tunnels and excavation of the new cavern.
