摘要
Why are we interested in the adaptability of tutoring? Because it is a key question if we require tutoring systems to be intelligent. Adaptation is the sensitivity of a system to the internal and external conditions of the environment, allowing it to persist and to evolve. To reach this goal, it appears necessary to review the classic conception of intelligent tutoring systems in which the pedagogical rules are predefined. It is desirable to invoke new approaches that allow the rules to be learned by trial and error, by using a representative sample of the public concerned. The trials will be considered as an initialization of the system. In interaction with the potential users, the system will learn to adapt to its public and will evolve because the ability to learn is seen as a key indicator of intelligence. Around this issue, we will try to present a case study that is an illustration of a system that we developed.
