摘要
E. histolytica produced an unusual inflammatory reaction with acute phase yet, but only a very weak late can be found. E. histolytica produces Monocyte Locomotion Inhibitory Factor (MLIF), a pentapeptide, with in vitro and in vivo anti-inflammatory properties. The MLIF may interfere with leukocyte migration disturbing the balance of cytokines secreted by Th1/Th2 lymphocytes. We evaluated the effect of MLIF on activation and production of Th1/Th2 cytokines in human T CD4+ lymphocytes. Expression of CD69 was determined by flow cytometry and Th1/Th2 regulation was studied by intracellular cytokines collocated with chemokine receptors. MLIF activated T CD4+ lymphocytes and induced Th1/Th2 cytokine expression as PMA.
