摘要
Development of Leadership brings the knowledge that to assess the quality of a leader we need to distinguish his moral-values' directions. Specifically, what values he has and whether his actions lead to the realization of good, or vice versa. The direction towards good in the process of leading people can be expressed by the concept of ethical leadership, to which this contribution is devoted. The first chapter defines the theoretical assumptions of ethical leadership as normative and personal behavior, that are developed through interpersonal relationships, two-way communication and strengthening of tendencies towards ethical behavior and decision-making. In the next chapters, the contribution offers the answer to the question whether there are prerequisites for ethical leadership in the Army of the Czech Republic in the context of historical, normative and situational assumptions. The text has the character of a descriptive study. The main method of knowledge acquisition was the content analysis of texts and research reports.
