摘要
The analysis of soil interaction with rigid wheel using a three-dimensional soil compaction model was discussed. The model was constructed using ABAQUS finite element program. The model was separated into two distinct bodies, a soil-bed and a rigid rotating wheel. A symmetry was assumed about a plane normal to the wheel's rotational axis through the center of the footprint. The method is found to be efficient in analyzing the soil-based structures.
