摘要
The hydro-pneumatic classification process is recommended for classifying particles with a size less than 40 mum. The process can be used for mineral classification or de-sliming, clays processing, pigment preparation or similar industrial applications. The pulp upward now regulates the classified particles limit size. In this case, a similar "elutriation" process can be obtained, but with the following advantages: the hindered effects in the relative movement particle - fluid are diminished; its possible to work with a higher solid hold-up; the agglomeration particle process, such as flocculation and coagulation are avoided; among other benefits. The research and utilization results had demonstrated that a bigger productivity is obtained, with higher separation effectiveness, when it is compared with other classification process.
