摘要
In this paper we show a new method of BAEP (Brainstem Acoustic Evoked Potentials) signal processing. This new approach can considerably accelerate medical examination. With the standard method 500 to 2000 realizations of potentials evoked by rectangular acoustic impulse (100 mus width) applied with 30 Hz frequency are measured and then averaged to minimize noise and interference. Measurements are performed for different levels of the stimulation impulse, separately for right and left ear and the whole procedure should be repented. For 1000 realizations the full examination lasts 22 minutes. Such a long time of medical examination, especially in case of children and babies, requires that the examination should be performed during physiological sleep or deep relax. This causes the medical examination to be onerous for a patient and for a doctor and also to be more costly. In our new method which is proposed in this paper the BAEP signal is averaged in time with averaging parametric (v)lter during a single response. Such a signal is repeated at most 30 times to average and reduce distortion. Some preliminary results which are presented in this paper will be veri(v)ed during further research.
