Method and architecture of PLM-oriented domain-specific modeling

摘要
Aiming to improve the productivity, portability, interoperability, and evolution of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system by defining PLM architecture fundamentally at the model level, the PLM-oriented Domain-specific Modeling (PLM DSM) method is presented as the unified modeling technique to provide a model framework of PLM based on the manufacturing data structures. PLM DSM consists of Domain Schema, Domain Template, Application Model and Application Data which are used to abstract the concepts of manufacturing domain, format the meta-model of manufacturing data, construct the data model of PLM, and instantiate run-time data of PLM data model respectively. Then three kinds of architectures based on PLM DSM is presented, which are development architecture, deployment architecture and application architecture, to unify and simplify modeling, design, implementation, integration, deployment of PLM. At last, a model instance is shown based on the method of PLM DSM to confirm the validity of this method.
