Crystallization Kinetics of CaO-MgO-SiO2-Al2O3-Fe2O3 Slag Containing Cr2O3

摘要
The CaO-MgO-SiO2-Al2O3-Fe2O3 (CMSAF) slag with different content of Cr2O3 and different basicity was prepared using pure chemical reagents by melting at high temperature. The crystallization behavior was investigated by means of differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS). Results showed that it is helpful to form (Mg, Fe)(Al, Cr)(2)O-4 spinel in slag with lower basicity and higher content of Cr2O3. Whereas, it will be beneficial for the formation of Ca3Mg(SiO4)(2) and Ca2SiO4 in slag containing 2% Cr2O3 and higher basicity, amorphous phase presented in heat-treated slag was the main phase in lower basicity and higher Cr2O3 content slag-derive glass, the precipitated phase changed depending on Cr2O3 addition, and the variation of crystal type might be related to the viscosity of glass, which was influenced by the Cr2O3 content in the glass-system.
