摘要
Spectrum sharing is a promising approach toward optimum utilization of rarely used licensed frequency bands. The access of donor's frequency band for rental system is realized by software defined radio (SDR). Donor system being owner of the spectrum has the right to take the spectrum back whenever needed, raises forced termination issue. Forced termination is one of the most perceptive issues for real time communication. The proposed Spectrum Sharing with Heed (SSwH) scheme provides improvements regarding fairness to rental systems in terms of forced termination and overall spectrum utilization. Generalized analytical studies are performed for comparisons, using Multi-Dimensional Markovian Models. In this paper, it is shown that SSwH scheme can significantly decrease the forced termination probability for rental systems without any additional disturbance / loss to donor systems.
