Identification of new physics scenarios in fermion pair production at polarized ILC

Numerous non-standard scenarios are represented by contactlike effective interactions, that can manifest themselves only via deviations of observables from the Standard Model predictions. If deviations were observed, their source should be identified among the different nonstandard interactions. We discuss the identification reach on gravity in compactified extra dimensions and on the "compositeness inspired" four-fermion contact interactions, expected at the planned e(+)e(-) International Linear Collider (ILC) with both beams longitudinally polarized.
