Analysis of the Growth Rate of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and Its Impact on Regional Development

The purpose of this study to describe the activities of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Jepara Regency. The method used descriptive quantitative with Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) entering Jepara Regency in 2010-2016 as the research object. The results showed that foreign investment activities in Jepara continued to experience growth. The highest growth rate occurred in 2014 at 147.9%. During the period of 7 years from 2010 to 2016, the investment value in Jepara reached US$ 271,043,300. In addition, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Jepara also had a great contribution to the regional economy and employment. So, government must be made a rules in terms of ease of foreign investment need to be made clear in order to protect investors and also labor.
