摘要
The concept of Model-Based design Development is being applied in automotive embedded software, in order to improve software quality, workflow and standardization methods between the industry players involved in vehicle development (OEM and suppliers). There is a growing demand for new functions and requirements for customized software and hardware, in which the benefits of V-model proposal can be applied. The design of a model-based software application for an electronic unit is explained along this paper, focusing on a specific example of an automation system developed for the Mobile Seat Platform (MSP), which is a new device required by the Brazilian government standard for transport coach buses. The MSP is a device responsible for the movement of an internal passenger seat from inside to outside the bus, and then lifting the seat back inside. This automation brings an easier accessibility for handicapped people who use public transport to travel to other cities. The methodology is followed by a description of all the requirements of the automation system, a behavioral block modeling, the documentation of test cases and the automatic code generation for the target hardware. This use-case application will demonstrate the advantages of the methodology, and how model-based design concepts fit in a heavy-duty passenger vehicle, which is an important part of the transportation structure of the cities worldwide.
