摘要：
This study analyses online searches conducted for faculty, graduate students, and researchers, in an academic library during a six-year period, July 1988 - June 1994. Extensive statistics are tabulated by online searches usage, costs, departments, user status, subjects, databases searched, and search type (broad and narrow). Various purposes and the database management system used for compiling online search statistics have also been discussed.
