The implementation of strategy and organizational reward systems - An overlooked area in the strategic management of human resources

摘要
We explore Strategy implementation relative to organizational pay and propose that strategy implementation is related to reward systems. Our primary contributions are: one, tying existing schools of strategy implementation thought that include Rational Incrementalism, Egocentric Enactment, and Cognitive Renegotiation with pertinent reward issues; and second, discuss these reward issues within the broader framework of human resource management (HRM) and organizational development. Our investigation suggests that strategy implementation is more than just implementing a strategic plan. We propose that certain kinds of reward systems are consistent with certain kinds of strategy implementation approaches.
